Please join us for a workshop with Chris Yorke, Global Marketing Manager, NZ Winegrowers.

Many of you would have attended the presentation by Philip Gregan in late June on the “Issues that are facing the NZ Wine Industry”, this emphasized the need for us all to continue focusing on building the premium image of Central Otago wines.

COPNL have invited Chris Yorke to present a workshop on the benefits of utilising NZWG and COPNL programmes to leverage international success. The workshop will cover some of the following topics:

The role that NZWG can play in assisting CO Producers with their promotional efforts.
The framework of NZWG and how regional promotional organisations such as COPNL work with NZWG to maximise promotional opportunities and achieve momentum in key markets.
Outline the context of the marketing and positioning of NZ Wine and how Central Otago’s positioning fits into this.
Discuss branding and how CO Producers can utilise their Central Otago positioning to create opportunities to market.
Identify the advantages of each membership type, eg. NZWG and COPNL (regional promotional body))
Identify the best ways for CO Producers to utilise their membership types with NZWG & COPNL.
Elaborate on the different types of events that both NZWG and COPNL offer CO Producers. What are the benefits to producers in participating in such campaigns?
Identify premium brand attributes and determine Central Otago’s positioning alongside such attributes.
Identify opportunities and strategies to develop, protect and grow the quality reputation for CO Producers.
Emphasise the importance of regional branding and the need for continued focus on premiumization.
