Farming to meet the price point

Venue: Lake Dunstan Yacht Club, McNulty Inlet, Cromwell
This month’s vineyard walk is a vineyard understanding of the different management techniques to farm a $25 bottle of PN, a $35 bottle of PN and a $45 bottle of PN. Open to all COWA members.
Speakers include:-
- Alistair King (WHK) – economics for the farming of different bottle prices in Central Otago and understanding the costs.
- Nigel Greening – market feedback on Central Otago $25, $35 and $45 PN. Understanding the drivers to decided on what value to farm your fruit at.
- James Dicey – his experience at managing individual vineyards at different price points.
- Duncan (from Clearvue) – managing vineyards on piece rate to meet a market price point.
