Markhams Central Otago Young Viticulturist of the Year Competition1 Aug 2009 -Markhams Central Otago Young Viticulturist of the Year Competition We are very pleased to advise that there are 8 new contestants for the regional final of the Markhams Central Otago Young Viticulturist of the Year Competition. It’s being held this Saturday (1st August) at the Polytech vineyard, Bannockburn Rd from 9-3pm; then at the Polytech restaurant, Erris Street, Cromwell, 4.30pm – 8.30pm. We strongly encourage anyone interested in the event, to head along with your families and friends to support the contestants. From 12pm there will be a BBQ at the vineyard, which you are very welcome to share and at 12.30pm the Hort sport part of the competition will start and this is the best opportunity for you to cheer on your favourite contestant. If you would like to attend the evening function which includes the quiz section and prizegiving, for catering purposes please RSVP to Raewyn Paviour at the Polytech by Tuesday 28th; raewynp@tekotago.ac.nz / 021 735 856.
